JSW MG Motor India recently launched the DriEV.Bharat event in Delhi, showcasing their commitment to enhancing the ecosystem of electric vehicles in India. One of the key initiatives introduced during the event was the eHUB platform. This innovative platform aims to simplify the EV charging infrastructure by providing a single platform developed by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). With eHUB, JSW MG Motor India claims that planning trips via EVs will be hassle-free, thanks to features like locating, reserving, and paying for charging stations. The company has partnered with leading providers such as Adani Total Energies Limited, BPCL, Glida, and more to make this vision a reality.

Another significant announcement made during the event was the introduction of Project REVIVE. JSW MG Motor India aims to repurpose old EV batteries for energy use in schools and community centers. By collaborating with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and lithium-ion battery manufacturer Lohum, the company is working towards reusing healthy battery components. The pilot program for Project REVIVE is currently underway at a school in Mukteshwar. This initiative not only addresses the issue of battery waste but also contributes to sustainable energy solutions in the country.

In the era of artificial intelligence, JSW MG Motor India has introduced eVir, an AI chatbot that forms part of the EVPEDIA experience. EVPEDIA aims to provide comprehensive information on EVs, including tools and calculators for cost calculation, research papers, government policies, and more. This information will be accessible through interactive displays, educational videos, and live demonstrations. The eVir chatbot serves as an on-the-go solution for drivers seeking answers to their EV-related queries. This innovative approach to EV advocacy demonstrates the company’s commitment to leveraging technology for the benefit of the EV ecosystem in India.

JSW MG Motor India’s partnership with Reliance Jio has led to the introduction of the MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP). This platform is designed to cater to the driver’s entertainment, gaming, and learning needs while on the go. The technology stack includes MG Store, an app store for vehicles, along with voice commands in six Indian languages. Additionally, the Home-to-Car functionality allows users to monitor and control their vehicle’s systems remotely. MG-Jio ICP will be a standard feature across all upcoming MG vehicles in India, enhancing the overall in-car experience for drivers.

Overall, JSW MG Motor India’s latest initiatives signify a significant step towards the advancement of electric vehicles in India. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and user experience, the company is poised to play a key role in shaping the future of EVs in the country.
