Stellantis has reduced its headcount by 15.5% between December 2019 and the end of 2023, with a 14.5% reduction in North America alone. This amounts to roughly 47,500 employees being let go. Despite the pushback on the company’s cost-cutting efforts, Tavares maintains that these measures are necessary for the company’s future success and profitability.
